Best Time to Visit

April to June is ideal for blooming Mughal gardens, wildflower meadows, and comfortable temperatures (15–28°C in Srinagar). July–August brings lush greenery with occasional afternoon showers. September–October offers spectacular autumn chinar foliage. Winter (December–February) is for ski enthusiasts at Gulmarg. Avoid peak Amarnath Yatra weeks in July–August if you prefer quieter Pahalgam roads.
