November through April is the golden window — clear skies, calm seas, brightest tea estates. December-January: peak season with spectacular weather. May-October: lush landscapes, better prices, some afternoon showers on the south-west coast. Cultural Triangle accessible year-round. North-East monsoon (Oct-Jan) affects Trincomalee and Cultural Triangle region.
